About The Author

Bob Neaverson

Bob Neaverson is a writer and lecturer in Film and Media Studies. He worked in the British film industry in the late 80s on a number of British productions before training as an English language teacher and subsequently working in Sweden and Poland in the early 1990s. Following the completion of his MA in Film at the University of East Anglia in 1996, his first book, The Beatles Movies, was published by Cassell in 1997. He subsequently taught at City College, Norwich, and Great Yarmouth College for ten years, while his second critically acclaimed book, At the Apple’s Core: The Beatles from the Inside, was published in 2002. This was a collaboration with Denis O’Dell, the former director of Apple Films and producer or associate producer of many of the Beatles’ films and videos including A Hard Day’s Night, Magical Mystery Tour and Let It Be. Bob lives in Suffolk with his wife Bodil and son, Johnny. As well as running this website, he is also teaching and writing/illustrating a new comedy-horror web project, to be launched later this year.

He is, it goes without saying, a lifelong Beatles fan.

The original book contained a preface in which I thanked a number of people for their help and assistance with this project. Until such a time as a new one is put together, I’d like to thank those people again here. Without them, this book would not have been possible. Many thanks then to Pam Cook, Robin Hammerton, John Street, Kevin Donnelly, Alan Worth, Denis O’Dell, Joe McGrath, Peta Button, Victor Spinetti, Richard Lester, Gavrik Losey, Mat and Sam Daniels and all my family.
